About me
I am Dr Muhammad Sohail from Punjab, Pakistan. I am focused on Horticulture, with a particular emphasis on pomology and the cultivation of citrus (citriculture). I am interested in the physiology and biochemistry of citrus plants to understand their growth, stress responses, and productivity. I am engaged in studying the impact of abiotic stresses (e.g., salinity, waterlogging, and drought) on citrus physiology and biochemical pathways. I am involved in the investigation of nutrient uptake, enzyme activity, and metabolite profiling to improve plant health and yield. I aim to work on molecular-level research for enhancing citrus fruit production and quality. Working on advanced molecular techniques and mechanisms, such as transcriptomic and gene editing, to improve fruit diversity and quality. I am committed to developing sustainable agricultural practices through innovative approaches in citrus production.
