About me
Armando Villa-Ignacio is a Ph.D. student under Jennifer Bousselot Ph.D. in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University. He received his B.S. in Conservation from SUNY-ESF and his M.S. in Horticulture at CSU. He is currently researching raspberry production in rooftop agrivoltaics. Armando has presented his research all over the United States and the world, including South Korea, Puerto Rico, and Germany. He was also a 2023 HortScholar through AmericanHort. He is currently the Social Coordinator for the HLA Graduate Student Council and a Peer Mentor. When not in research, Armando teaches in the Horticulture and Landscape Technologies Department at Front Range Community College, sings with the Greeley Chorale and Harmony Road, a mixed barbershop chorus. He has also joined Empire Lyric Players in Denver, and plays violin with the Health and Wellness Orchestra, a local community orchestra in Fort Collins, CO.
